Vladimir Or maybe the ones who are interested in this thread are not your average computer user and hence have a tendency to use Unix based OS.

Problem is, Novell simply could not keep up with all the new portable devices, plus the fact that networks are plugged in seamlessly to the inet. We had problems setting up migrating accounts, for laptop/palm users. And the security wasn't as robust as what MS provided. It's just that, so many things go wrong with a MS system vs. a handful on the old Novell. Solution: Just get Linux! That's all I have to say.

At school we had one course of Linux but all we really did there was installing and downloading system updates and drivers. I've used Knoppix few times to save my files when windows crashed but I really think that I should Install Ubuntu too and try to learn to use it properly. Yeah, you should. Ubuntu is pure awesomeness! One of the greater advantages of Ubuntu is that it's much lighter than M$ Windows, my laptop is a lot faster on Ubuntu.

Guess what happened....when I tried to boot it up the next day ....It really was broken O.O. I couldn't believe it O.O...what a low quality sh*t!!....... that microbrain stuff!!. I mean my home-server with linux debian on it runs until 1yr without a break and it still runs just perfect.....:v: wah? seriously? maybe it got overheated or something...those things don't have great cooling devices (I think).

Yeah, windows is nice for some applications...but sometimes I just get so sick and tired of windows, just start up my ubuntu and enjoy without having to worry about it crashing or what not.
