It had over 700 frames originally. The corrupted one has only 601

well I could think of two things:

if you have a background layer filled with blue, and the second layer using white brushes (any non-abstract brushes btw, since the background image you posted down looks like a cloudy bg) but don't use it too much
background layer filled with blue color, second layer you can go to Filter, then go all the way till you see Render, and then Clouds. Click on Clouds and it'll show you a cloud image (default is white and black). If you don't like a certain cloud image you can always press ctrl+F to show a different cloud image. On that same layer, set your blending mode to Lighten or Screen. That will give you the background you're looking for :-D

mmrrrmmm.. did you compress the file when you converted it into avi? videos usually blow up in size when you re-encode them without compressing.. the first time I did that my video went from 200MB to 6GB.. >_<

anyways, as for the GIF.. aside from resizing the frames, see which ones can be dropped.. as in there's hardly any noticeable difference in the animation if you take out that frame.. less number of frames means smaller filesize..

lastly... instead of Save As.. use Save for Web..

361KB means you still cant use it for avatars.. or pretty much anything for that matter.. I wonder what exactly you do in ImageReady for that to happen.. think you can upload the converted video so we can have a look?

I've never tried making something with that many frames.. even if you can add more frames, you'd never be able to save it in a filesize that can be used as an avatar in any forum.. o_O

I agree.. that's an installation problem.. problems that do belong here are those that involve how to use programs that create graphics.. I can see the probable confusion since it's a font problem and they are usually used in relation to graphics but troubleshooting installations is better left to people with more technical knowledge.. since the expertise of people in this section is based on the assumption that said programs actually work.. o_O

errm.. haven't had time to work on your imageready problem yet.. but if you find a solution before I do, please share it here.. I'm sure others would like to know.. O_O
