RP: Xenos turbulence

Set up:

Set up during a civil war on the planet Xenos.
Year is 5014.
Earth has been destroyed several years ago.
A fleet of important persons have migrated to a cluster of planets.
way outside the Earth solar system.

Roles:

Architect family (Mainly architects and other mathematicians)
Governors family (Family who governs the planet)
Officers (maintain order on the planet)
Doctors family (Surgeons and nurses)
Agriculture family (Landowners)
Smart family (Scientists, Librarians, ...)
Lower class group (mainly factory and construction workers)
--> most people from the lower class group are enslaved people from neighbouring planets or expulsed members of the great family's

Story:

The heir to the throne gets murdered brutally.
There are no clues to who could've done this.
The officers randomly started slaying people.
Who is the culprit? The usual suspects?
Who can remain a low profile and survive?

Whoever decides to be the culprit should pm me, and only me!
The others have to find out who it is and try to avoid the wrath of the Governors family

System:

First a few writing rounds
Then the officers get to kill someone
Then the other villagers get to kill someone
Then the culprit gets to kill a member of the governors family
(obviously pm me again)

Repeat the same process
If all the members of the governors family are dead, the culprit wins

All regular RP rules apply, so make sure to read them all
You can take on any role you want
If you want to participate, just make a post here with what role you'd like
(if you're applying for culprit as well send that part through pm)

Ok, I guess I'll post a how to on character creation. For now, here is how they should look.

Name: Alexi Osana (Land Owner/Farmer)
Age: 24
Race: Caucasian
Hair: Red

History: During the destruction of my peoples home planet Earth, my family was important enough to get our place on a ship. We were a well know farming family, and the rulers of our old planet decided our skills would be necessary on our new home. Currently, we have a staff of 60 people, including a cook, a "militia" and other essential staff. Of course, our militia is no where near as powerful as the Governor's army, but we support them as needed. My family is strictly loyal to the Governor, but ever since I was a kid, I felt that someone else should be in his spot. Me? Of course not, I can not even run our families farm...
But, we will see what happens down the road.

Family Troubles: Ever since I was a child, I was a trouble maker. I could not be counted on to do even the most simple of chours, so I suppose that's why the ruling of our farm falls to my younger brother. He was always better around the house, but I was always better in a fight. So I understand why he runs the farm, and I run our small militia of ten men. These men, however, are loyal to my brother, and not to me. I hope to change this, and maybe even take over MY farm.

Some disturbing news has come in to my home from my militia. The apparent explosion in the underground... It wasnt an accident. It was a murder. Someone in the tunnel was a target. But who could have been the target, and who could have wanted that person dead, and who would have gone through the effort to put that together. Maybe the man who is leading the current investigation is behind it, but is no way to be sure...

Some members of the estate wisper that it is the governments fault, but those are unfounded rumors, but who can say.

Name: Lt. Lamasq Delacroix/Dupree Delacroix

Age: 14

Occupation: Officer

Nationality: French

Weapon of choice: Though officers have access to very advanced technology Lamasq prefers using
a Reinforced saber and Modified Desert Eagle. His gun has 2 types of ammo. .50 caliber rounds
and explosive rounds with an armor piercing tip.

Status: Lamasq was born into a lower level of the Governors family. He is currently
34th in line for the throne.

Story: From birth he has been rigorously trained to be a guardian of the crown and the
ultimate weapon. Likely due to lack of love from his parents and the stress of his relentless
training, Lamasq has a separate personality, Dupree. While Lamasq and Dupree have completely
different personalities they are aware of each other and function well as one person. They've
both come to an agreement on outward appearance, mannerisms and speech pattern. However, they
don't always agree on battle strategies. Lamasq is a true product of his training Calculating and
efficient in battle using his subordinates to full effect. Dupree however is very reckless
and often takes on several enemies alone. Despite of his young age Lamasq would likely be
an Admiral by now if not for several complaints against him due to Dupree's actions. That said,
they still function together well in battle, willing to switch if one of them is struggling.

and we're live outside the royal hall awaiting the official statement from Lt. Lamasq Delacroix who sources
say is the newly appointed head of the investigation into the murder of Julius Covan, the heir to the
throne. For those who don't know, earlier this week it was announced that Julius had been found brutally
mur.......What's that....Ok I've just been informed that Lt. Lamasq is approaching the stand to give his
official statement and hopefully shed some light on the situation.[/COLOR]

Lamasq:Greetings fellow Denizens of Xenos. I'm short on time so i'll make this swift. As many of you know Heir to
the throne Julius Covan has indeed been murdered. I however am not part of the investigation on the recent
tunnel accident as it has been officially deemed unrelated. Now that this has been made clear I shall answer
a few questions. Please keep them short.(Points to the crowd) I'll start with you.

Reporter:Are there any suspects yet?

Lamasq:There are a couple leads but at the moment there are no suspects. Next.....How about you

Reporter:Lt. Delacroix, do you really expect people to believe that the so called accident in the tunnels which
just happened to take place a couple days after the murder of Julius and was in an area known for rebellion
is just a coincidence?
Lamasq:I'm well aware of the rumors but yes it was just an unrelated and unfortunate accident. It was in no way a
retaliation by the government. Next question........you in the green.

Reporter:Lt. Lamasq aren't you a bit young to head an investigation. Especially of this magnitude?
Lamasq:Please don't waste time with stupid questions. Next.....yes you in front

Reporter:There have been several fatalities at the hands of the military following Juilus's murder. Is there a
relation between the two?

Lamasq:Even before the recent murder there were several raids on traitorous factions on Xenos. While the casualties
have slightly increased it is only because traitors are becoming increasingly better equipped making the use
of deadly force increasingly more necessary........I'm afraid we're out of time. Thank you all very much and
I look forward to a positive outcome to this Investigation.

[COLOR=Black]Reporter:So there you have it. Lt. Delacroix seems confident those responsible for this dastardly crime will be brought
to justice. Of course we'll be following this developing story closely. This is Katie Thorn with Action 67

Lamasq enters his quarters and slams the door behind him and leans backward against it

Lamasq:Damn the Military. Turning my investigation into a damned witch hunt. I haven't even gotten
the chance to officially announce the murder of the heir to the public.
Dupree:Well it can't be helped since the government did give them freedom to do whatever's necessary
to catch the murderer. Besides look at the bright side the killer might already be dead.
Lamasq:How the hell would anyone know since the military is randomly killing anyone who protests
the government or it's policies with the excuse of treason.
Dupree:Anyone who protests government policies? I wonder if that puts us under suspicion.
Lamasq:I'm sure I am under suspicion thanks to your actions.
Dupree:Sorry. But I can't just be a good boy and follow ridiculous orders without asking why.
Lamasq:It is not our place to question government policy. Nor is it our place to run recklessly into
battle or do anything else that disobeys orders for that matter.
Dupree:Jeez. Not this again. Listen, the more enemies we take out ourself the less soldiers we lose
Lamasq:Instead they become dependent on me. Soldiers need the battle experience that you are robbing
them of.
Dupree:We are the one who has the enhanced strength, speed and reflexes. Us, not them. Our talent is
wasted when not on the front lines.
Lamasq:Our goal is to win battles as efficiently as possible not to get a workout. It's actions like
this that have cost me 2 promotions and likely thrown loyalty suspicions upon me. No doubt my
being assigned to head this investigation is a way to keep an eye on me. Still I will catch this
murderer and end this nightmare. The witch hunts stop now. Anyone else caught interrogating and
killing civilians without my consent will answer to me.
Dupree:Oh by the way, I think we should cut our hair. I've grown tired of this ponytail. How about shoulder
length spiked?
Lamasq:..................No

After everyone's written a character piece i will release my official announcement of the murder of the heir to the throne.
Then everyone can react to the situation.

Well as I am the GM (game master) I will have some input from time to time.
(Other than just my nurse char, just a bit like a narrator)
In the beginning there will be few. It'll be pretty random.
Every group has ties with one another. The officers, the other civilians, ...
The officers want to get the culprit, the normal civilians want to avoid being killed
Writers description pretty much applies. As long as it's not too boring lol
You can build however you want. The story covers pretty much the whole planet.
Things will start in the main city but will spread out pretty soon
The governor has given the Officers carte blance
So they can pretty much arrest and question whoever they want.
And in the end kill them if they're not satisfied lol
The main rules say you can't, you can mention them but not actually navigate them

I hope this kinda helped out a bit
Once the actual RP starts I'll do an intro so we should be good to go
