i dont find that sticking together helps out at all. think about it. the british way of fighting during the musketeer age was to group there units together like this:
*=commander
0=soldier
0000000000*
0000000000
0000000000
this effectively made a wall of bullets. but it was only effective against other such close units. since the musket was relatively inaccurate, all they had to do was point in the general direction and fire, and they were bound to hit somethin. however, now and days, the guns are far more accurate and spray a wall of bullets on there own, so when units are close to each other, they are easily wiped out. Another thing is that an entire squad is easiley taken out with one granade if they are close. This is why i tell them to spread out over a wide area. now this is innefective on a large battle map against a fortified position, but localy, on the field itself, the troops should be spread out. do you understand what i am saying, or do i need to elaborate, cause im unsure if i'm making myself clear :m-bata:
