It's a Western Cartoon. 3 seasons, 20 episodes each and if you want the subbed version, you'll have to find the Japanese dub with subs, which is ridiculous. And it has some of the greatest voice acting I have ever heard. Mark Hamill as the big bad was incredibly ironic.
Also, I loved the show! The animation is amazing, the voice acting (as mentioned above) is fantastic, it's extremely funny and enjoyable.
Am I the only one raging at the casting for the movie? Sokka and Katara are the whitest kids I've ever seen... And AwesomeToph might be a young black girl (I'm not a racist, I just wanted my blind Asian butt-kicking loli)

Uhm... the original language is English. The show was made by Nickelodeon and it had enough success to dub it in Japanese. And the voice acting is seriously great.

= 60 episodes ! :P

i never actually finished the series (got about halfway through the third season) but after reading this thread, i d/ling the last episodes now :)

Well uhhmmm no sorry LOL... there are so many great animes outside that for some reason I picked up in priority and I missed that particular show... but I can look forward to it since you all seem to have enjoyed it lots.

I figure it is good and a must see.

i did really enjoy the series, and i would have to agree with kiwi2590 about iroh. He was a wise character that brought comedic value to the show. plus he kicked ass.

:bow:I enjoyed it I did not expect it to be as good as it turned out. I loved the different bending types, Earth was my favorite. Uncle Hiro was the best I liked him in every scene especially when he fire bend:m-bata:. I got so sick of zuko's sister chasing ang and the gang. :worried:Although I felt the ending episode was rushed a bit. The fight was good but not long enough. It was still worth a watch or 2 or 3 okay I have watched the entire series 4 times. :socute:

I watched the first and second season on tv, had to watch some of season 3 on line before i picked up season 3 on dvd, ended nice i think season 3 was the best..:bow:

P.S. Toph and Sokka have the best lines...

I enjoyed Avatar tremendously. The ending was a strong display of story telling and animation. All I've invested into the series was paid back with interest. I would like the series to continue but would still respect it if it did not. I have learned the attitude of the knife.
