eh, my point being, if you realize how little you move your hand with a mouse, you really don't need a heck of a lot of room i mean, i could CG quite comfortably on half a piece of paper. also, when i CG, i use a laptop, and u know tracpads are only inches long/wide. im just doubting the reviews im looking at on the genius, i mean, sure it does get pretty good reviews, but they're all really shallow. like "cool product, it works great"
and the ones that acutally list the pros and cons point out it though it's large, can be jittery and dysfunctional, it feels cheap, the mouse is awful,(which im not too concerned about except for the fact that maybe since other people use this computer we ought to have a mouse that works?) and there's almost no customer support, which doesn't sound too good. i dunno, it's just not getting satisfying reviews. half of the people love it, the other half hate it, and im not sure that's a good thing. i mean, i can draw on half a piece of paper no problem, and i can CG on just a few inches. please don't assume you know my drawing techniques. i can assure you i can CG or draw perfectly well on half a piece of paper. the entry here is on less than half a piece of paper. the size of the tablet isn't a big issue here.
basically im saying i just don't see a ligitimate reason to buy something cheaper. i mean, if i've got enough money to buy a wacom, why not?
ps, i've read that the genius buttons, aren't really programable. my understanding is that they're pre-programed. plus, though i respect you opinion, im wanting to hear from somebody who's actually had the tablet for a while.
please do voice any suggestions, but don't push the genius. i understand wacom is very expensive, but they can price like that because they know people will buy from them because they're satisfied and therefore willing to pay a little extra, and they know they get reviews which encourage more customers. i just don't see that in the Genius tablet; even if a lot of people say it's good if ur on a tight budget, half the customers are saying they want their money back! im tired of getting cheap products for my birthday just to 'save up' for the better one which you never get anyways because your parents just 'magically forget' they promised you a better product if you liked the first. im trying to get my parents to take me to different technology stores, too, because sometimes seeing things in the box gives a better idea, since on the internet, you just get to see a thumbnail, right (course they never have any graphics tablets, anyways -.-)?
oh, btw, i have a new pic for you guys :D:D i still hate ms paint, but this one turned out waaaayyyy better than the other!
