Ah, the wonderful world of physics. You love it, you hate it, but we all experience it. There are a whole bunch of fields within physics, and I am sure that anyone who is even remotely interesting in physics has a favorite field. My personal preference is Astrophysics, as it deals with the movements of entire galaxies! This thread is for physics discussion only. Stay on topic please. If you dont, I will hand out lashes. This is a magnificent scientific field, and I encourage everyone to take the helm and discuss, ask questions and offer insight and expertise. :)

Yeah I was noticing that when I looked through all my old textbooks.

Fist there was the Law of this, then it became the theorem, then it gets whittled down to theory again.

Seems there are no constants in the real world.

Problem is, there's other theories, that black holes pulverize normal matter, and if anything was to come out of the white hole, it'd be nothing but scattered particles.

I can't remember then name of the particles, but I believe there's a theoretical particle that can escape the gravity of black holes.

Anyhow there's more to fear in the universe. Gamma ray bursts for one.

Well, humankind may not last much longer than that, but the Earth will continue long after it's shed us.

I recall watching a Science Channel documentary on the Earth's magnetic field, and how it's shifting.

Problem is, that allows more radiation to hit Earth, so in about 1000 years parts of the Earth will be well done.

I've seen a lot of these so-called heat waste energy converters. I remain skeptical, but it would be neat if they worked.

I've heard that with nanotech you can make small dyamos that run on temperature changes.

For some it is and for others it's quite a logical subject (to a certain level).
It's like asking if math is difficult (which is easy for some and difficult for others).

I mean for example that once you start doing a master's theoretical physics you wont find anything that logical anymore.

Blackholes are basically singularities in the spice-time. Meaning: a very massive (yet infinitely small) object (a dead star), causing the space-time to deform, becoming a black hole.
There are theories about where the objects that go into a black hole go. One of them being the theory of white holes, where these objects come out again. Since a white hole has never been observed, some believe that they are located in another universe. In other words, objects going in a black hole in our universe, come out in another universe. (only a theory of course)

Well...that kind of happens no matter what.
If you study General Relativity, you'll find out that it's kind of impossible to survive a black hole...there are nicer ways to die.
