Hello Friends,

Thanks for your earlier replies. You should have let me thank you all for your effort before closing the thread;_;

Anyways.. this is the problem I face. I have downloaded a Dual Audio series encoded in MKV + AC3 and there are around 13 episodes of the series. All the episodes have the same title, and moreever the title is just a name of channel and IRC server's address.

So, I want to know that wether if there is any chance of changing the title of the file? If yes how? I also want you guys to know that I dont wanna re-encode or do something to lose the quality to edit the title. <.<?

Please Help Me and thanks for your time.

P.S: I use Media Player Classic/VLC/Winamp, and Winamp and MPC doesnt show a field to edit, whereas VLC shows a field, but doesnt allow to edit.

This might work. I use this to merge my subtitle files to avi files to make mkv.

mkvtoolnix -- Matroska tools for Linux/Unix and Windows

I usually keep the originals in case of SNAFUs. Burn it to DVD or store it on a thumbdrive.

I'm muxing them as I speak, but its creating a separate file after the process is finished, is there a loss in quality? I can't see it.. but is there any in the background?:worried:

What do I do with the original Files and what do I do with the new files? o.O ?

As for quality, if there is a direct stream copy(As in VirtualDub, '[COLOR=DimGray]cause I don't know mkvtoolnix very well[/COLOR], I used it only a few times), then there is no quality loss, else, there is some loss depending on settings of codec, resolution etc.

I posted it earlier in my first post.. I needed to change the title of the files.. for example.. If I open a file 03.mkv or something, I wanted the player to display the title as Anime_Name (Episode 03: Episode_Name) instead of plain 03.mkv.

MPC reads the META Title and displays it in its status bar. I wanted MPC to show me the episode number and name instead of default data.

and now thanks to you guys.. I have successfully muxed them! and copied the originals on to the DVD left the muxed on the drive. :victory1:

I was wondering the same question for hours. the Title actually consists of the channel name and server name for the source of the Anime. I just wanted to keep the SRC as SRC as it contains info.. as I forget things really really fast..

danke ^^ Im already lagging a year behind, I was supposed to complete my graduation last year and go head for further studies. But I kept failing at the 2 worst subjects <_< which miraclously got cleared.. and I was like WTF?O.O(It was supplementary exam)
But hey, theres nothing stopping me now :v:
