Yeah MU is dead and it's unlikely they will return from the dead since the FBI isn't known for their mercy.
There will be of course [still are] a lot of similar sides out there uploading/downloading, I think shutting down MU is just the beginning the dawn of the end for free sharing.
Lets face it, all material is copyright protected in a certain country or in many as such all is illegal to share if you do not hold the copyrights yourself or have the written allowance to publish it on your own account.
It's all about money and we life in a capitalism world... yeah with some exceptions but even there money rules, of course. So we face the fact that finally the empire (industry as a whole) will strike back we see it all over if you look at the big picture, all those tries to deploy internet and web laws to kill sides right off if the host links to copyright protected material or host them...
Just in case you haven't realise it there's a war out there and we are all inbetween only differene is you are not beeing shot at, but you see what I mean.

and as akiba told they were cheaters, not only against the law or copyright stuff. Anyway even if you uploaded quite a bunch and were collecting so called points you should have been able to get a prem account but they often simply didn't count the downloads for a couple of days or weeks.
