Planning for new website

I'm planning to program a completely new website. The plan is to be able to post links and movies on the main site in place of the forum.

I'm only wondering what your thoughts are.

no the other way around. Move all links and movies to the main site and use the forum for discussion

well the idea is to get the main site more lively and useful. It is also easier to deal with the download spam and the doubles that way.

I don't think the forum will be affected much. But it would help get our page rank up thus more quality traffic and it could make the forum more active for discussion.

I'm coding the templates. Progress is slow but steady. I hope to finish something in a month or 2

haha I actually joined a forum group like that. They required people to join the "secret" area if they really know their age or if its mature enough.

Actually why not have the forum blend in/merge with the blog? I've seen some blogs do that, and I think this method is more suitable to avoid bots as possible.

well I've never done fansubbing in my life (although I am in the process of also starting my own); if I did had to pick what I would do, it would have to be Stylist, QC, or Encoder (since all my R1 encodes are done with Handbrake or XMedia; MKVmerge for subs).

Lol Quirk, yes, we need color baby. XD I have seen the new site designs, and while I do like the style, I still think there is currently too much white in the new pages. That I believe needs to change a bit. The designer should experiment with colors of varying degrees to see if there is a good alternative to basic white.

Im in support of a redesign, as I believe the current one is a bit dull and empty. Too white as well. We need more color. In addition to the new features you bring in, it would be a good plan as we move forward. Changes are inevitable, its only a question of when we decide to implement it.

i'm with everyone else - i like it the way it is and i wonder the same thing as meri ...

but i know i don't like change that much too - so what you think is best is prolly best.

that would be REEEAAALLY bad!!! i think this site is alot more than just it's download links ... it's the community as well. yes it waxes and wanes but like the phoenix,rises again and again [we're waxing and waning right now, but STILL a great community].
