I was talking about people who write things like "i wend too the shop yesderday an der was tis big balloon and i playd whit it all day i fell like i was 25 yers old again."

It seems to be quite a popular language. At one of our major bookstores (selexyz for the dutch) they've got a loooooooooooooooot of books about the spanish language and to help you learn. Only a few on Japanese and only 2 on Swedish :(

And propbly some minor parts of Turkish, Arabic, Russian and whatnot.

There are so many languages I want to learn, I wonder if I'll be able to learn them before dying...(which I hope I won't do soon...)

English is the only language that I am fluent in, the rest was just to be polite to the performers and the other workers that came with them.

At the time I joined, they had a unit that was traveling in Japan and I hoped to be able to transfer to that unit and get to experience Japan up close and personal.

I have been interested in Japan since I first saw station 48 out of N.Y.C. in 1980.
and got to see Japanese programs in their original form, without the dubbing and the editing.

The two shows that struck me most were "Cyborg 009" and "Galaxy Express 999". In 1980 you can imagine the impact these programs could have on a person in comparison to the rest of the American programing that was around at the time.

Just after I joined the unit in Japan was closed down.

Awwww...too bad about the unit in Japan. But still lots of fun I bet :)
I wish I could get some linguistic experiences.

well, I'm a beginner, but I know a bit of C and...that's about it.
I used to know Turbo Pascal 7.0 and some other stuff, haven't used them in years so I don't remember anything about them...

Do HTML and CSS and stuff like that count?

EDIT: Yes, also HTML and CSS.
Ah and I also used to know VB.

Too many head slaps while playing football damaged my hard drive a bit, so I have corrupted sectors.

Yes, but it's not a programming language, that's why I asked :)

We do have a lot of people from Turkey over here, so he might have picked it up on the street/from friends.

I know German since I've had lessons in it at school; not to mention that it resembles Dutch in so many ways, same vice versa. My Turkish is actually quite bad, the only reason I know it a bit is since my dad is Turkish. I however am one to not talk other then Dutch in home. Neither do I have any Turkish friends. =P

But i'm still 50% Turkish by blood. So I know my parts of Turkish; even though it's minimum.

Wow...people from India speak so many languages, most be because they have 23 official languages over there...
