1)
When I was still in elementary school I used to read a lot, but when I grew older I stopped reading.
The only books I red during middle school and highschool were fantasy books (the Edge Chronicles or Harry Potter) and obligatory literature for school.
Now (I'm 20) I occasionally read books I get as a gift and re-read ones I used to like.

Not as often as I used to. I'm reading smthing most of the time but usually it some blogs' posts or papers for studies

I'm not in to detective stories and horror except for that I "eat" almost all

HAve not decided yet. I want to start reading in Spanish and return to read in Japanese

4-The man behind the nose: Larry "BOZO" Harmon: with Thomas Scott McKenzie assassins, astronauts, cannibals and other stupendous tales (it's a bio of bozo the clown really good to read when you feel down)

Actually, I'm going to school to become a librarian

I do often read books, when I have time that is. usually I'm busy working or fulfilling my Moderator responsibilities along with keeping up to date with my anime watching.
I like many genres such as science fiction, philosophy, satire, , criticism, mysteries, etc.

3). The main reason why I read books is because I want to. I do have to read books for classes, but mostly I like to learn.

4) The last book I read was The Sigh Of Haruhi Suzumiya, there was a few for classes too but I don;t quite remember what was my last one...

5) My next book on my list is George Orwell's 1984

Currently I am reading Blasphemy by Douglas Preston

I am not a book person, i rarely take the book out, i use them to pass time when i sit on the airplane to or from a country

Books huh....
Well i wont say i read often or even remember books i have read.
but i try to make this little thingy...
1, Not at all....
2, More or less all genre, well more sci-fi, fantasy and action ones.
3, If you skip the old school days, it was more or less friend wanted to buy book and forced me to drive into the city, so when there i was more or less urged to buy a book for a weird reason.
I read all of the ones i bought myself except for 2 so far, one is half read the other i have yet to start.
4, "The Zahir" its ongoing not finished but last time i read it was last year i belive.
5, "Wolf of the Plains" i will read as soon as i finish the previous book :D

When I have the money and time to buy them, I can read more than a book a day.
Favorite genres are Science Fiction and Fantasy, though I can read almost anything if it interests me.
I read because I enjoy stories. It's a bonus that my genres tend to teach you a lot of interesting stuff.
Last book I read was quite awhile ago, since my college doesn't have a good bookstore, and I haven't been able to go since I got back. Something by Charlie Stross, maybe?
I have many, many books on my TBR list.

I am reading Robert Jordans "wheel of time" truely epic series and kicks Lord of the rings butt.

Lord of the Rings is better.

Yup, all the time. I've always had a major passion for written work and spent a lot of time in the local library as a child. It takes a lot to catch my eye these days though, so it's intermittent that I get a good read, but when I do it is in solid blocks.
2) what genre do you like?
Horror, gothic horror, fantasy, any crossovers of those. Childrens books and comics and some scifi.

Many reasons, main one is just pure escapism. I have a good imagination and books fuel it and add to my creative side. Flipside is research and understanding.

Currently working my way through a huge wildlife encyoclipedia.
I think I'm going to re-read all Mark Chadbourn's Age Of Misrule trilogy and then maybe the other two parts to the anhtology afterwards. And I need to reread Miyamoto Musashi's Book fo Five Rings and The Life Giving Sword vs. Killing Sword.

I highly recommend for those who are into their myths and legends (particularly centred around England) to read some Mark Chadbourn. His Age of Misrule trilogy is impossible to put down once you start reading and it will open up worlds you never though you could imagine.

I used to read every day... most of the time while at the bus or busstop to make some use of the time you have to wait. Well more recently I do not read very much...

2)
Nothing specific, but fantasy, classic stageplay (not sure how's that called in English... "Reclam Serie" basically it's about a certain stageplay like Hamlet from Shakespear as example, and all the actors are listed what they say and a narrator to fill the gabs, it is usually used by actors to learn the text for a role) and science fiction seems to be my faves though. Oh yeah my first pick would be heavy literature like Shopenhauer to name one in particular. In general the great philosopher's and like mentioned true classics like Hamlet, Macbeth (Shakespear) and Faust (Goethe) tricky drama all over LOL.

3)
Especially with the old stageplay books I like the old speech they use for instance. Also somehow I improve my own language a little... well it feels "as if" LOL. I like that.

4)
Hmm... maybe it was Illuminati... or Hagen von Tronje. Haven't read for quite a while so I can't say for sure.

Now I'm into "Faith and Fire" a novel of the Warhammer 40k universe. All English language (+400 Pages or something) I pick English in this case because the German (my native language) translations are in this genre mostly... hmmm let's say inaccurate smiles

2) I like them all, but I've been into science fiction/fantasy the past few years.

4) Battle Royale by Koushun Takami and I'm starting Dies the Fire by S.M. Stirling
5) I'll probably finish reading S.M. Stirling's "The Change" Series, then I'll pick up the latest Fate of the Jedi when it comes out and the next Wheel of Time book when it comes out. I love Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time series...I was so sad when he passed away.

Well, a friend just brought a box of books he needed to get rid of to school, so I decided to give my eReader a break for a few days... Right now, reading DC Universe- Hell Town, and then going to read Charlie Huston's "Caught Stealing" and Neal Stephenson's "Zodiac"...after which I have 2 hardcover Clive Barker books that are a bit different:
Forms of Heaven
and
Incarnations

different because each book consists of 3 plays..... and it's been a long time since I read anything in script format, let alone something bizzare with a title like "Frankenstein In Love" lol! :D
