Since Meri decided to go through the mainland, they went to the southern part of the forest.
Even though it was the same forest, the southern part was very different from the northern part.
No more noticable influence from the ocean.
The trees were taller and they had darker colours.
If Shells was scared he was doing his best to hide it.
Meri was intrigued by all the new things around her,
but if they wanted to make it through the forest today, they couldn't afford to slack off.
Still it couldn't hurt to take a little break.
They had been walking 7 hours now, without pauzing.
"Shells, it's snack time", Meri said and looked around for a comfortable place to sit.

Time for the next part of my story!!
I'll meet lots of creatures, most of them I'll help with some kind of trouble they're in...

The first day already turned out to be a real challenge.
I knew where the capital was, but I didn't have a clue how to actually get there.
I started out on the beach north to the northern forest.
([COLOR=red]The capital city is in the West of the Lost Continent[/COLOR])
There's mountains and rivers in the way on the mainland, but following the beach would be a very long detour.
I decided to take my chances and set of to the first point I somewhat knew on the road. The ... Mountain

Edit: I've put some points on a map. Are those points ok or do you want them somewhere else?

I've been painting it out and came up with some nice ideas.
However the more I progressed the more my paint started to look like a childs drawing.

I'll work some more on it tomorrow :)
But I'm sure there are better designers here
So people don't hesitate to show us your creativity!

You really give them a lot off advantadges even though they already have magic XD
It's going to be tough to beat them :o

The problem is... How to get on those islands...
Cause in those books there's a basket-elevator steared by someone...
And there is only 1...

Unless ofcourse we had some mythical creatures from the mainland forests on our side
(You know, a gryphon or something else that can fly)

The special combined animals sound ok,
however, are you going to mix normal and special animals?
