Yeah I'm an Xbox 360 owner and even I am pissed about this. How can you even call it a port when you scrap what sounds like an awesome engine just so the game can run on the 360. That's not a port that's co-development.

I don't mind them dumming down the 360 version if needed as long as the Ps3 version doesn't suffer because of it. That's my biggest problem with the FFXIII thing. It's like making athletes wear leg weights so people like me can compete with them.

Companies should adopt the COD4 philosophy and have a team of programmers for each console so each can make the game based on their console's specific limitations.

second im pissed off because of that multi plat thing is going on......
you and nnnmmm are right.... i wonder how many disk will it consumed for the 360.... and i hope that the quality for the ps3 is not substandard.....
this is the first FF for the ps3 i hope it will not disappoint us and likewise for the 360..... cheers to all!

i hope it don't randomly freeze as you play ff13 on ps3 like how lost odyssey did on 360 really annoying.

Was it? I always thought Square was pretty darn succesful on the famicom/snes after Final Fantasy III (or VI, depending on where you live). I know I loved Square even before Sony even launched the Playstation.

Im actuallu about to get a PS3 just for FF13, im so excited about the game, havnt played a FF since 8 lol.

You know I was originally a playstation owner and loved the FF series that were put out for it. When XBox came out and I needed a new system I went for that one because PS3 wasn't even close to being finished, at the time. I was so distraught over Square-Enix's refusal of putting out a FF title for xbox. So when I read that article it saddened me even more that they would consider dumming down the PS3 version just to make us xbox 360 owners feel adequate.

i'm a PC user myself and don't own any consoles, and just seeing how much better are games on the PC, i wonder what are they waiting for to port all games on the PC. And well to be honest it would piss me off a little to have to pay 70-80€ for a game, because i don't think PS3 has been cracked yet (but the XB360 is)

I aggree that you have to have a top end computer in order to max out graphics but the difference is here. The last exemple i saw is Assassin's Creed 2, you can't compare and my comp didn't cost me the price of a PS3. (without the screen :worried:)

Still reading the first post from AkibaStyle, I saw FF13 running on both platforms and I have to agree that PS3 dominates XB360 by far, it's not true for all games though.

I'm thinking of getting a console to play with my friends online and splitscreen but i cant make up my mind. I'll have to wait for the Project Natal (XB360) or the motiion capture (cant remember the name for the sony) or even a FullHD Wii (maybe one day ^^).

All games should be on all platforms, that's it !! and toss all these "only on PS3/XB360" in the garbage.
Damn lazy and greedy game devs!!
