Instruments?

Does anyone here play an instrument? If so, what instrument and how far have you progressed? Im currently taking up guitar and have been doing it for a few months. Ive gotten pretty good but still far away from true stardom, haha. I also did keyboard once upon a time but long since gave it up because of a change of taste in music and also because my instructor moved out of state. So, what does everyone play? :)

yea I play guitar.. (for fun ^_ ) and next semester I am planning to take a Piano class :P (damn its nodame fault)

well first as kid i started to play flute for 2 or 3 years. then when i was 6 years i started to play piano untill i was 14 or 15, so yeh im pretty good at playing piano, still playing sometimes when i have time to for myself. maybe i someday can post a video of when i play :) :blush2:
then when i was 11 or something i played violin for 5 years.. then i i got tired :P but now im just into piano and at my free time i play some music i find on the net and play for myself :P and i can play a bit of drums as well.

and yes asian people "need" to learn how to play piano :D hehe, it was a joke ^^ (if u get the joke):disco:

hehe i joked about that cause most asian people i know, their parents wants their kids to play piano, its a must.. so i was joking about taht, maybe if u know some asians u can ask if they have played piano before or are still playing :P

I've been playing bass for 7-8 years. Still trying to find a group to play with. I also love to sing and I can play some drums too. I write lyrics and I'm currently trying to find an efficient way to compose my songs. Maybe some day I'll be able to get them out of my head

hey i also have composed a song of my own. .and its a classical song. .i kinda like sad and sorrow type of melody. i called it memories. .but i dont have the idea how to post it here haha

I got an Electric Keyboard and an Electric Guitar
I did manage to learn how to read the music sheets for the Guitar (tabs)
unfortunately it never used to play out how the pro guitarists play it out to be

also I blame my small finger reach for not being able to quickly reach the cords in time
so I came up with a different approach .. strumming on the Guitar like a piano :music:
tapping works at time ^_

But lol I really would love to Shred like an amateur if not a pro :P

maybe ill post a song or two.
i play clarinet, piano, acoustic guitar, drums, and a bit of flute. i play none great but all well.

i play guitar [for 32 years], write original Christian music and sing w/my wife, Jewely [she does harmony]. i play by rote [learned a few things over that time, but can't deviate from what i know ... i'd like to - i'm just not natively a great guitarist.] i play to sing. i love singing. maybe i'll post a link to an iso of one cd i made w/the computer [of her and me] called Love Never Fails. I'm kind of a "ballad" singer. i've written about 35 songs. i don't sing or play much now [broken down hands & body] - but i'm gearing up to record more with the computer [i'm kind of an audio/video buff/producer nowadays w/the pc].

when i learned how to play john denver, neil young, dan fogelberg and james taylor were my favs but i played ccr, the who, led zepplin and others as well [not great tho]. i used to be quite a acid-head drugger and drinker in my youth. 20 years clean and sober now. all Christian stuff now.

i also play the radio. i'm very good w/that.

I'm busy learning to play the guitar :happy: coz i was the lead singer for my band but i get stage fright so i decided playing the guitar might be better :P
and i play the piano ^^ I would love to learn how to play the violin tho :inlove:

WHeew Im a Punk Rockers myself but now im leaning on the goth,dark wavey new wavey side of music our bands kinda limited to covers though and were only 14,15,16 teens i hate to play at corny bars gWAR!!!

I took up guitar a while back, learned a bit then gave in. Got told I didn't have the hands for piano playing (all battered and calloused from combat). So I decided that I'm not fated to be musical. But I can (believe it or not) sing very well. Especially to some good old Iron Maiden!!!!!!!
