Edit: Here's a clue she is from a series famous in Japan, but just recently came over to America after the anime.

Yea, I'm not too good with freeware either unfortunately. i'm only familiar with the out right popular freeware games or ones from over seas.

I have to admit that was definitely difficult. I only recognized that the character was dressed in shinsengumi clothes from another picture. Nicely done!

This girl is from side-scrolling shooter created by the company "Cave". It hasn't been released in America yet, however it might or might not even be here. Oh and it's an arcade game.

Yea, I thought that was the case so I just changed things up a bit. From now on I'm posting things on systems that everyone is familiar with. The fact that Kami and I were the only ones that were really answering anything, seemed kind of selfish or at least for me. Anyway using common characters should hopefully allow everyone to join in again. I apologize if I alienated anyone with my posts that wanted to participate.

You're close but that's not her. She's the person that helps Mario when Peach gets captured in Super Mario Galaxy.

Also she is an unlockable character in the latest Mario cart.

Her name starts with an "R" and is a Spanish name...I think.

She is the "mother" of the little star characters called Lumas in Super Mario Galaxy.
