[poll] Naruto's Father

Well this is a highly well discussed matter among the Naruto fans and there's a lot of speculations. The only real name I've heard was the 4th Hokage being Naruto's father. But I'd like to know how many (non-)fans actually believe that Konoha's Yellow Flash aka the 4th Hokage is Naruto's father. Place your votes :)

I among one do believe he's Naruto's father, mainly because they look a lot like each other. He placed the nine tails into Naruto (because he was his own son). Naruto learns the Rasengan which was the 4th Hokage's own technique.

But don't ask me about his mother, because I haven't got a clue about that one...

EDIT: This thread is for those don't read the manga.

1 nobody would do that to his own son
2 as far as I know, the 4th hokage didnt have a wife, and she died in the battle, according to everyone
3 if he was the son of the 4th hokage, he would have been treated better

Then Alex: at least I would have some dignity for the son of the one who saved my butt.......but that would be just me

And last: his mother died in the battle, which would mean according to Vladimir, she gave birth and got killed right after. It would make more sense if the 4th Hokage was the secret teacher of the father of Naruto.

Also, the 4th Hokage isn't so stupid he doesn't know what would happen, I would pick some random guy who lost his parents, so at least he has some incredible chakra to make up for his loss..........

He sealed it into Naruto perhaps without knowing the consequences.
His wife might have died after giving birth to Naruto.
You've got a good point there, but it's possible that most of the villagers don't know that Naruto is the 4th's son.

Back to the topic:
Why isn't it possible for Naruto's mother to have given birth to him and some time later (maybe a few months later), the nine tails showed up and she got killed in battle.
Also it is known that Naruto has incredible chakra, even without the nine tails' chakra. If he is the son of the 4th, he would know (maybe hope?) that his son would become at least as strong as he was and that he would be the only one strong enough to keep the nine tails sealed. If he gave it to some poor basterd who couldn't control the powers of the nine tails then the seal would have been broken pretty easily, don't you think so?

I doubt it, because Naruto had already been born when the Fourth died. Also it would be kind of weird if he was the re-incarnation of the Fourth, better said: it would suck.

yeah i think he truly is, i have been rewatching naruto(im bored ok?) and you see pictures of the 4th hokage. they look damn much as naruto. and when the 4th was younger he is a exact copie of naruto.

umm i think he isn't plus its better that he isn't the whole show from a point of view has been to get stronger and survive and be reconiged and naruto did that. how i prove it is that he never had anyone watch him and stuff(reconize him) and now he pushied harder and harder to do that and finally has. so it being like that would ruin like a lot of parts of it it doesn't mean it can't happen and stuff but it counter acts its self.

i hope i put it correctly and stuff mabey someone else can clear it up for me
