No i didnt mean the M4. The M16 is still in wide circulation, and not just with the US Armed Forces. Its just that the Army is starting to transition to the M4 from the M16, but the Marines are still using the M16A4 as the standard issue. Regarding H&K, none of the company's assault rifles and carbines (excluding sub-machine guns) are being used as general issue aside from the Delta Force, who use the HK416. The US Military for the most part still uses Colt weapons and will use Colt weapons for a long time to come, to my own dismay. I would much rather use something else, like the 416. The US military simply doesnt give a shit about the quality of small arms and focuses rather on the quality of vehicles, which is a tragic flaw since the most numerous and the most widely used branches of our military dont have the best equipment they could, while the least used branches like the Air Force and Navy get all the good stuff. Its a bunch of bullshit.
