As for advice: just be yourself and I'm sure you'll make a lot of friends here. We have a chatbox on top of the forum, where you can chat to others :)
You can click on a user's name and go to their profile where you can leave a visitor's message. You can also send others private messages. So many ways to keep in touch with others ^^
