xmichikox;44016 wroteeh, well the wacom has expresskeys that can be programed to do different things, which i don't see on the genius pen sketch
yes, the wacom has 8 & the genius has 10 programmable tablet buttons.
xmichikox;44016 wrotei don't think my parents will tolerate getting a new one later
you're going to be 14. when your 18  you can get your own second one!
xmichikox;44016 wroteeh, well im pretty sure there;s a mouse setting where u can make the tablet function like a mouse, instead of like a piece of paper.
so does the genius
xmichikox;44016 wrotethis is all or nothing; it's pretty much my tablet-for-life, so i want to get a good one.
even the wacom won't be a tablet for life. i'm pretty sure, with the proper care, either one will last 5-10 years at most. you will buy another tablet. technology will improve and you'll "just have to have it!"
xmichikox;44016 wrote8.8X5.5 is plenty of room...i know fox is saving up for a wacom
a half of a sheet of paper is not big enuff to wipe your butt with! and fox is doing what i suggested YOU do ... buy the less expensive one and get the better one when you're going into the world!
xmichikox;44016 wrotemost genius 9x12 reviews say it's okay for people on a tight budget, or just experimenting, but it's better to get a wacom if u can afford it
that is true. but they are comparing apples to apples. a 9x12 with another 9x12. if they compared a 9x12 with a 8.8x5.5 the review would be much different. also in the reviews they say the genius is a good tablet. it's the difference between a ford mustang or a ferrari ... shrunk down for tiny ppl from the land of Oz. the mustang is a really nice car! so is the genius. it's just not a ferrari.
xmichikox;44016 wroteplus the price is a little TOO cheap for technology today...and batteries?
you would think that ... but the hardware field has been moving Sooo fast that it has driven the cost of components down to almost NOTHING! 1GB of memory today is 1/10 of the cost it used to be! it's supply and demand. the components used in these products cost next to nothing ... really. it's scarily amazing!@ .@
the bottom line ximmi, have a good birthday, get what you want [even if it's not big enuff to wipe your butt with ... it would prolly hurt anyway ...]. you ARE going to want an exta large later. i GUARANTEE it!!!
