Forum Gold is a pseudo currency that helps create a sense of fun. You can buy things to trick out your avatar field and other things.
The secret stash is basically the equivalent of a savings account. You earn 2% for the funds that are in it.
You can earn Gold by posting, viewing threads or it can be given to you.
