Okay, from what has been heard; Dead Space 3 will have co-op. Even though this is not set in stone seeing as the game will be coming out in 2013 or so, this is seriously making me a tad bit squeamish. The whole atmosphere around Dead Space is to create a sort of Isolated/Helpless/Desperate and psychological fear factor. Even though your on this big ship (Slaughter Pit) with countless creatures and the occasional human- your essentially all alone. To me it sounds almost as if they're taking the RE5 (Resident Evil 5) route and turning it into another generic action shooter game. Even though they say the game can be played either single player or Co-op.. I just get the feeling that the core of the game will still be built around the idea of Co-op, thus destroying the atmosphere of the game. They say that you will be placed in a whole "new" setting, which is basically a frozen planet? (Not sure whether this setting will be the whole game, but it reminds a bit too much of Lost Planet or dare i say The Thing lol.. Loved that movie by the way. The game wasn't that bad either.) Hopefully it doesn't remain this wide open area where your just being zerged by Necromorph hordes lol. They also say that not only will Necromorphs be the enemies, but also humans... so now not only are we going to be killing Necs but we will also have to duck (cringe) and shoot at humans who no doubt will be firing back at us? Mass Effect/Gears Of Wars? I dunno... seems like it's going to be another flop to me and the game is still in the making. What are your thoughts on this?
