I have had the same 5 pairs of pants for the last 6 - 7 years. They are broken in, comfortable and awesome. As I have grown the pants have become shorter but since I used to wear long pants they still fit alright as long as I wear them down from my waist a bit.
The time had come for new pants though. Unfortunately, all pants are now in a lame emo style and it is very difficult to locate a decent, comfortable and enjoyable pair of pants. However this is a story of success.
My friend Dan arrived at my house and like most days we didn't know what to do. So I showed him some funny web comics and discussed such things as pirates of the Malacca Strait of which I had just read a National Geographic about. The conversation then moved to the cool new parts of Naruto and my earlier marathon of Lovely Complex and Hikaru no Go a few days prior.
Then it turned to us going out driving around. As we entered his car I decided that I needed new pants. We had previously attempted the feat several times but always failed when we got that awkward "shopping for clothes" feeling, you know what I'm talking about guys. Putting that memory aside however we ventured forth to Target, where a pair of pants is 29.99 and getting raped is complimentary with your purchase (They also only had stupid camo cargo pants in my size, which I didn't want. Because they were stupid)
From there we headed down the street to Wal-Mart, the store of devils and corporate jack---es. Can't live without it though, right? Anyway we walked around and passed cute girls at which we made funny comments featuring sexual innuendos and then mentions of helmets with panaches.
The children's section loomed before us. I'm rather small, topping off at 5'7 and wearing a 16R children's. It didn't take long to locate pants, pick out pants and then put it back on the shelf so we could walk around picking out other pants that were hilariously horrible and easily laughed at.
About 5 minutes later we were bored so I grabbed the pants, headed to the checkout, veered off to the left in order to grab a package of gummy lifesavers which I'm now snacking on. The mission was over and there were hurrahs all around because I had new pants and won a pink teddy bear out of a claw machine.
To sum it all up, me and my new pair of pants are full of win.
P.S. Hold out for the pictures, they'll be up when my pants are out of the drier.
