Yeah, windows is nice for some applications...but sometimes I just get so sick and tired of windows, just start up my ubuntu and enjoy without having to worry about it crashing or what not.

yeah that's true...damn blue screens (although I haven't had I in ages..) :D ....but the only reason i don't change is the compatibility of XP with 99.9% of all programs...unlike other OS's...

So true, been a pretty hardcore-gamer (or was :gomen:...) a mac would be like saying, "I never want to experience/ dish out pwnage again..."

Although, I heard if your doing any Art/Graphic Design courses in university a mac is the way to go... :happy:

XP is solid but Vista is pretty cool. I'm trying it out but you do have to do alot of tweaking.

haha, I considered Linux or something of the sort, like Ubuntu, but I have never gotten around to looking into them. Does anybody have a recommendation for something simple for noobs like me? XD I head Ubuntu was quite good.

That said right now I like XP. Because it runs SAI smoothly. Yeah, sad I know; when you're an artist all that matters is if the OS runs painting programs XD

tried a pukintosh - it was ok, but there's alot more freeware for windows.

i've been XP forever ... but finally updated my Vista laptop to 7 - WOW!! it's fast, secure and stable! of course ANYTHING is better than Vista!

Well for me it is mainly Debian/etch with KDE (mostly I use the console)
and sometimes (I wish I didn't have to) I use XP, for gaming, FLStudio and several other appz...

I've tasted the fruits of temptation from Apple, Unix, and M$, they all have some nice features but are far from perfect.

I've used all the common micro-computer o/s's , currently suse 11.2 ( still testing it) ,XP (virtualized) and going to install OSX {Tiger) on my laptop. Linux is my main o/s, the others are mostly for to play with, and yes, brokenhands, they all have probs.:sorry:
