I went to japan back in july 09,by the way never visit in july!Its the rainy season and its frickin HOT!90 percent humidity with 90 degree weather is suffocating!!Anyway,this site and a few others helped get me ready for what I was going to experience...ANIME EVERYWHERE!!There is anime on the trains,soon as the doors open there were posters stuck on almost every wall.Banners hanging on most every train platform,most of it I had never even heard of!Anime book/magazines sold in pretty much every tiny 6ft by 4ft store front.And they were cheap!
Worst part of the trip was getting harrassed by the police just because I had a camoflaged backpack,it just happened to be the color of choice for drug smugglers!Oh,and the rain storm breaking our bullet train on the way to see Hiroshima,they ended up stuffing 4 trains full of pissed of passengers onto the only working train,which didnt want to go over 40mph!The 11 hour jet ride the was pretty nice,there was only like 50 passengers,nice and quite.Now the return 12 hour ride was a mess!The jet was completely packed!Crying kids,folks that would`nt shut up,funny it seemed like everybody wants to leave japan?
