Not only do I not have a problem with the remake, I am also very excited about it. For me the series has been floundering with only 1 and 4 being great games while 2 was bad and 3 was ok. New blood was needed in my opinion.
I don't think the new Dante looks emo or twilight-esk, I think he looks like a punk rocker, see Sid Vicious for reference. This is very in keeping with the mixing of rock and roll and gothic themes which has always been present in the DMC games.
With Heavenly Sword and Enslaved under their belt Ninja Theory has really earned my respect and got me looking forward to anything the do next. I trust the game will have improved story, animations, and platforming over some of the other DMC games. The only thing that has me a b it concerned is the combat pacing. It's been somewhat slow in the last couple of games which won't work with DMC.
