Needs to find manga?

I don't know if this info provide will help much. But back when I was reading some manga I found a manga and started reading it briefly. It starts out with a boy and a girl where the girl is the target to be killed but the boy protects the girl from being killed and but then finds out the woman trying to kill the girl is mother whom he didn't know about? As before I didn't get much info beyond this as I read it back in 2009 and don't remember the title.

Since your familiar with Clamp, then I assume you've already read "Tsubasa". Make sure you look up another manga called "MxO". Since you say the manga has something to do with magic, I'll just post a couple others.

1) E's Otherwise- It's not magic, but they use psychic ablities.

2) Mahoutsukai to deshi no Futekisetsu na Kankei

3) Zero no Tsukaima

4) Butterfly- A guy who hates ghosts, is kissed by an elementary school girl and then told that she will pay him to help her defeat ghosts. This also has nothing to do with magic.

5) There is another where a boy carries the blood of the strongest wizards but he is very weak. He goes to a school where everyone is categorized by their spell count. Basically, the highest spell count means you have a lot of potential. But, every time you cast a spell your spell count is reduced by one. So if you should reach zero, you die. The main character only has like 5 spell count or something, but since he has the bloodline, his spells are absurdly powerful. The majority of the females in the school wants to marry him and bare his child to give birth to powerful offspring. (if you know what this one is called, post the name because I forgot lol)

Now, this is the closest I could find to your description:

Yami No Matsuei- Tsuzuki Asato is a 26 year old, happy-go-lucky, and dorky shinigami (god of death) whose job is to makes sure that those who are dead remain dead and stay in their proper realms. Even though he's had this job for over 70 years, he is in the worst division with horrible pay. He also has a knack for not keeping partners (since shinigami work in pairs), but now he seems to have one that will stick around; stubborn, smart-mouthed, serious and defensive 16 year old, Kurosaki Hisoka. With each case they investigate, they come closer to the conspiracies of the serial killer Dr. Muraki Kazutaka. Tsuzuki's relationship with Hisoka is growing stronger and closer...but there is a dark past to how Tsuzuki died that will not give him peace.

He travels in a group of 7 female nuns to send spirits that has not passed to the afterlife.

There's a couple more on my mind but I can't remember the names. I'll get them later if these aren't it.

If only you knew just a bit more, like whether the manga is shounen or whatever. A manga where a boy and girl is on the run? or perhaps he's hiding her in his home? It could be "To Aru Majutsu No Index" not sure. But, you said that the boys mother is trying to kill the girl? It could also be "Elfen Lied" although it was the father trying to kill the daughter when she was still a baby. There's also a manga called "Parasyte" but that doesn't seem to fit your description well, maybe your thoughts of the manga have been jumbled up after all that time. If anything else comes to mind make sure to post it. ^^

It was just with magic and they were like high school with drawing like CLAMP type drawing I think but don't think it was from Clamp but similiar to their drawings like xxxholicxxx.

I seen those but it's not those and as the other poster asked me it involved magic I think and I see those 4 that you listed but the character drawings were in the line of clamp xxxholic drawings...but I don't think they were from clamp though???

I did find a manga site but looks like I will have to go through all and each listing to see if anyone of those titles will ring a bell... more like going from A-Z. It is going to be one long hunt... :astonished:

Thanks for trying I will keep looking I found couple other sites for manga and I will try browsing through manga listed there to hopefully find the obscure manga I happened to glance across that day.

OK, I found what I wrote down about what I could remember from that time on that manga. I think it was a older manga cause the drawing seem dated. Here it goes.

Friend strips a gurl during a fight with magic fighting a unknown woman when his girl friend gets caught in the middle of the fight and protects her from the dead woman attacks. And in the the resulting fight the dead woman spirit tells him that she is his mom and is coming back for revenge.

Well you guys did try but I will keep looking in my spare time and hopefully I will see it but wished I did the first time write the title down or the artist that created it that in itself would've help alot...
