Sticking with using my handle javaris here. As for my location, I have the misfortune of living in the northern part of the United State's bible belt region.
As for my favorite anime, I would probably say something like Elfen Lied or Full Metal Panic. More to the point though, I really don't watch that much anime (with periodic marathon exceptions), instead I tend to read manga play / read visual novels and eroges far more often. I also don't watch television in general, since I view it as someone early on described it: a vast wasteland.
As for why I joined, I originally joined here after I noticed Dukenukem2162's thread "[MU] Huge Collection of games will be upgraded" as a google search result. While I had the majority of the stuff in that thread already, there were a couple I didn't know about, so decided to take a closer look.
Other than that, I've spent the last couple of weeks testing and backing up my english vn/h-game collection for windows 64 compatibility. As of right now, the number of titles that (sort-of) work stands at 138.
Soon enough I might start uploading some of the stuff that I haven't seen floating around on here yet, but want to finish organizing this junk first. Right now that folder is at 126 Gigs, but that's with everything having a 10-pass file compression of lhz, and compressing stuff takes awile.
Other than that, like I said it'll be a bit before I upload stuff. While normally eroges and VNs aren't the cause of alot of DMCA notices, I want to check the policy on that stuff a bit more (and also check into some alternative possibilities to avoid web crawlers, such as deliberate typos or phonetic listings and so on to make the files stay up longer).
As a final note, I work in IT and consider myself an internet rat. I check my email far more often than I use a phone, and often am on IRC as well.
