hey everyone,
im going to be regularly posting artbooks/visual works books from here on out, starting with this post. I wasnt sure as to where to post this..if in the direct downloads [because they are] or in this section as they are also for educational purposes. I will be posting how-to books, art collection books, tutorial links, as well as actual books pertaining to art and its history, and designwork books. This will be time consuming, as i have many and can only upload so quickly, so bear with me. I hope you all can take something from these files, as i have. Ill try to upload instructive books as well as entertaining books, as many can serve as reference. If anyone is looking for a certain book, series artworks, or tutorial in something specific, let me know and ill try to look for something for you. I hope you guys like them as much as i did. Here we go...

For Starters:

How to draw manga. Vol. I. Compiling Characters.zip
How to Draw Manga vol01: Compiling Characters
This books is great, I remember buying this as a child and using it endlessly for reference. It is very good for beginners and covers things from character creation to tips for building a simple storyline. Its very detailed and the examples in it are simply beautiful. I would gladly recommend this book to anyone, as it withstands the test of time. [many times i go back and check out things i used to use as instruction or reference as a child, and unfortunately they usually dont look so good to me as an adult. Kind of a "WTF was i on?" moment. This book still looks great to me today.]

How To Draw Manga - Volume 6 - Battles.zip
How to Draw Manga Vol 06: Battles

Everyone whos ever drawn a battle scene knows how hard they are to illustrate, getting the motion right as well as being able to show the power often in them. This books is part of the HTDM series as well, but focuses on battle scenes as well as poses. Its good for beginner-intermediate artists and I recommend it to anyone who attempts making manga or action-inclusive artwork.

EYE CANDY:

[DPG]Tatsuyuki_Tanaka-Cannabis_Works.zip
Cannabis Works by Tatsuyuki Tanaka
This artbook is one of my favorites. The work put into it is amazing and absolutely beautiful. It is not very instructive [unless you can read kanji], however i think anyone can learn something from it by simply looking at/studying it. It includes storyboards and art work from Tanaka from studio 4ºC. The attention to detail, angles, compostion and story is wonderful and i hope you enjoy it as much as i have.

Heres a peek, in case it isnt your cup-o-tea~

This concludes my first post, expect many more [slowly though. haha. i can only upload so much!]. I intend to spread art as much as i can, anywhere i can. :] enjoy, take care, and see you all around. :boxing:

these are worth a look red - appreciate the time uploading , scanning, zipping etc.

4 days later

ahh .. she left off the old wolf ... T.T i'm gonna try to draw something but don't expect much all i've got is a good pencil and computer paper.

5 days later

wolf digs out his pencil and paper and starts to read red first book ...:notes:

I checked out both of your last postings link tutorials red - WOW.
a little overwhelming 4 me but impressive, professional and beautifully done - both of them. prolly a little above my level anyway but nice to check out for inspiration.

Nice one mate, cheers.

It's been a long time since I drew anything at all.

Lost most of my creative ability with a pencil when I started training martial arts and parkour (kind of messes up your hands).

Oh well, looks like that's just me making excuses not to draw XD.

Keep eyes open folks, my creative juices will be flowing soon enough!

What an inspiration that was! Awesome reads.

Got me working again. Just penned out my first piece in ages. It's not great, but it's passable.

Was asked by my missus' brother to draw him a manga girl type tattoo (he's got 2 pieces on his calves already that are wicked).

So I did just that and I'm quite impressed so far.

Will get them scanned and uploaded as soon as I have access to a scanner.

:D

I used to have a bad habit of drawing the eyes waaaaay too big.Used to make my creations look like aliens. Though I could draw little chibi guys easy lol.

Appreciate the time you put into this with uploading Red. I don't think I'll start to swing a pencil or doing that kind of thing but I do like quality and good art so I'll download this sooner or later me thinks.

My faves are Luis Royo and Boris Valejo to name just 2 of the "big ones" LOL. Surely no manga style but it's not "needs must" right ;-)

Looks like I seem to go a little off topic so I cut it here...

yay yay yay ^^
I hope you have more coming :D
I've specially deleted my main daily activity to start drawing again

Yay yay yay ^^
When I get some spare time I'm going to start drawing again :D

BTW good call of posting it here
I'll just move it to the tutorial/work book subforum when our admin creates it

EDIT: Done
Now downloading the first 2
Not sure when I'll have some more time
But I'm going to give it a try again

Yeah the third one definitely looks special!
But well it already takes half an hour to download the first two together
So I'll wait for the third one or my internet/pc isn't going to be very happy XD

Ow man
Today I finally bought a japanese study book
So that might take up some time too

And I searched all over the place and couldn't find any of my drawing stuff
That's just odd...
But I'll find it, I'm sure I will
