What kind of anime would you want to be made?

What kind of anime would you want animators to create? For example, your favorite manga or simply something you really enjoy? I'd like to see anime...

I dont know, Id like to see an Anime where an American soldier from a Japanese base suddenly gets tossed around and sent back into the past in the samurai era, where he gets help from a samurai to recover and find a way back, all the while each one using their experience in their respective weapons fields to defeat a common enemy or something. I know, it seems strange, but the US has always been portrayed in a negative and inferior light in Anime, especially in Ghost in the Shell for example. I would have preferred to see an original anime with these listed circumstances that was true to history, as in accurate to the letter of the real world. No alternate histories and none of that crap. Thats my idea. I think it would be interesting because the initial confusion between the characters could have the series last longer and could be a good precedent for a good story.

HAHA. Yeah right...besides, im in the process of writing a short story, and i need my attention on that, something i CAN do. lol...ill post it here when its done. :)

Yeah, that is a possibility. Id just need to find a good hand. Anyways, about the story im writing. Yes, its gonna be fiction based on real events, particularly the Iraq War. Im in the process of writing about an unnamed soldier in the US army who joins the military out of anger for 9/11 and is shipped off to Iraq with a belief that all the Muslims are responsible for what happened. While he is in Iraq however, he learns that he was wrong and starts to change his opinions about who the enemy really is. Its going to be tragic, as I believe that is the best way for the main character to retain his sense of justice and benevolence.

There is a movie already out there. lol...its called Black Hawk Down...only in Somalia. Very similar set up. XD Have you seen BHD?

There are quite a lot of movies like that...especially movies about the vietnam war.
I especially like the movie Warriors about what kind of psychological effect war can have on a soldier: Warriors (1999) (TV)

Eh, really hard to be reminded of Bosnia. Its something everyone wants to forget. I was born in the country right before that war began, and grew up through it. I can see how those peacekeepers can be traumatized so easily. Its not easy to look at an atrocity being committed and not be able to do anything about it but watch.

Maybe they should make anime about war, and I mean like serious stuff. Like those movies. No cute stuff, no jokes, just hardcore reality.

Not just maybe, they SHOULD!. No anime comes even close to representing our world. Every anime that is "serious" is usually just fantasy and futuristic cyberpunk stuff. Why dont animators just take an event from ancient history or current history (preferred) and chronicle the lives of a few average people or soldiers as they witness these horrendous acts against humanity. Like you said, no superpowers, no cute stuff none of that. Just reality and the lives it can destroy. Any place such as Bosnia or Africa could do. It would be a new way to tackle anime, but then again it would be a very good representation of the world in a whole new genre.

I think I want to be in bleach world. It will even more interesting if i am the main character (ichigo). Full of power, strong and cool.

Id like to see Panzer dragoon saga turned into an anime series.... I know they did a one off special but that was all a bad dream i had.. it didn't really happen

LOL i never thought about it that way but maybe they can try to make the graphics/anime art like the one in Ergo Proxy or Witch Hunter Robin those have a more Mature like feel
Ghost in a shell style would be acceptable but in my opinion Ergo Proxy would do great.

Heh Thanks, before I got into anime I was really into playing chess, and my favorite chess games to replay where always bobby fischer, its a true shame he died so young. Regardless what anyone says I have always believed he to be #1 in the chess world :boxing:

On an anime note, some other series I would like to see are:

Computer tech building tournament. Some type of series where the main characters are told to build a computer out of trash parts or something.. For some reason I think it would be cool

for me, i like anime with action, fantasy, war and strategy. such as code geass. it's cool.
