I decided to see if anyone else was a little sceptical of the new and existing motion controllers on the market.
So we have the Wii remote (released w/ console) 2 controllers
Kinect for the 360 (to be around US$150) no Controllers
W-Kinect is scheduled to launch worldwide starting with North America on November 4, 2010-W
Playstation Move for the PS3 (with eye camera) 2 controllers
W-PlayStation Move is slated for launch in the PAL region and most Asian markets on September 15, 2010, in North America on September 19, 2010, and in Japan on October 21, 2010.-W
So what are the pro's and con's to these new 'must have' technologies.
Are they really going to work as well as they should or in the Wii's case do they?
The Wii was supposed to get us fit and active, but instead people waggled rather then swung. The same result could be achieved in most instances with a little shake rather then the large swing, I think they thought would happen.
The Kinect? Another thing to tax the 360's cooling systems, more red rings around I think.
The Move, basically coping the Wii, but rather better, using the glowing obs on the end for the best 3D measurements with the least amount of effort from the console.
But how long will it be before we put these controllers down and reach for the most likely better original's in the PS3 and 360 controllers. Have you seen how you play a FPS game with the move? You line them up like a gun barrel, the two controllers end to end, stand up and mimic using a gun. No I don't know about you but I don't want to stand up for ages playing a shooter, I would have to lift my Tv up about a foot just to be able to play the game.
Please share your opinions and news if you want to. Or you experiences with either of the three, if you have used them at the E3 or when they come out.
