hehe yeh of course, not good if he's lonely :P.. you had a turtle too? nice :D.. yeh its hard to take care of them cause they make a mess a lot, and you have to change the water often =/. but thats the job if you have a pet. :P

And I'd have to say tigers, which happen to be the World's Favorite Animal according to a poll by Animal Planet. Tigers beat dogs by 17 votes haha

Also, just an interesting tidbit of information but Sumatran tigers have a unique genetic marker and could become their own species if they don't go extinct.

I never really read up on the story but people taking photos and bothering the tiger (Which I believe was the reason) can have dire consequences. And I don't really see how one of them being mauled by their tiger is funny.

Same thing goes for the 3 people that were attacked in California. They were pissing off a tiger so it leapt over a 12 1/2 foot wall with a mote and killed 1 or 2 people and seriously mauled another. At least I heard they were taunting it, that part could be wrong who knows.

As for a wolf or dog the same thing applies, if you taunt it or pull at it's ears/tail/whatever chances are it's going to attack you. There's always a chance when owning/working with an animal.

I'm not worked up so I don't have to calm down, just trying to point something out. Sorry if I gave that impression.

However...

It wasn't their fault that people broke the rules and agitated the tiger. If you have a guest at your house and tell them not to pull your dog's tail but they do and it attacks you, is it your fault?

I will agree with that regarding the people pissing off animals at zoos though.

I don't necessarily agree with that. Although tigers aren't pets as most people would realize, I think since they raised it from being a cub just like you would a puppy or kitten they had a certain... right? bond? relationship? Can't really think of the correct word to use but hopefully you get my point. And although tigers aren't domesticated if you raise one from a cub like they did it becomes part of your family just like your dog or cat. Even zookeepers pet and play with the tigers there when they were born in captivity. So I still think it's unfair to say it was their fault. People startle your pets and they may react in an aggressive way, to you or the other person. Yes I realize I used that argument before >.>

Anyway, we each have our opinions so lets leave it at that.

Also Phoenix are supposed to build a nest at the end of their life and then burn it along with itself, from which a new baby phoenix rises. And they were supposed to be able to heal/regenerate themselves but I've never heard the thing about their tears doing stuff.

And I have no idea what raising cattle is like. I assume it would mostly be making sure nothing is eating them, occasionally branding them and stuffs?

:P yeah sure it's a mighty animal, but I'd still vote for the wolf...And as a pet I really don't wanna have a tiger....

Besides I love dogs, got one myself and would never exchange it for another pet...
