Funniest anime?

I love a good laugh, therefore I was wondering which anime is the funniest you've seen. For me it's probably School Rumble, but Yakitate!!...

Ouran high host club! It's not exactly a comedy, but it makes me laugh more than most anime i've seen.

hmm, maybe some episodes from Trigun, Ookiku Furikabutte, the melancholy of haruhi suzumiya, and some others _will update this cause i don't remember the anime series that i have watched, :p~ but the dominant series tat i would call hilarious are Chobits, Love Hina and School Rumble. those three are my top choices if u want to have a good laugh. ^^

Then there's:

Zero no Tsukaima - it kills the original story for sexual stuff, but it's funny.
Jungle Wa Itsumo Hale Nochi Guu - This is one masterpiece of funny stuff.
Urusei Yatsura - Aliens attacking the planet and losing a tag game eh.
Ranma 1/2 - Cold water changing a dude into a girl... interesting.
Excel Saga - Pure randomness.
City Hunter - He's the best underworld gunman in Japan... and the biggest leecher too.
etc...

Your idea of "comedy" might be a little different.
The idea of the anime is to be funny by being random.

We can't forget Hayate, Azumanga Daiou and Strawberry Marshmallow, but the funniest by far is Potemayo, just don't try to watch it if anybody is trying to sleep nearbyXD

Between Anzu's antics and Hii-chan's cos-pla, this season's "Hanamaru Youchien" is definitely making a move on the funniest spot.

Funniest then is FLCL. Funniest now is either Kimiaru or Gintama, and they're THAT good

I don't know if I would consider this the the funniest anime although since it's my favorite I also find it really funny, but Trigun :D

oh ya haha golden boy, I remember that one that one episode with the girl in her room was pretty funny xD

haha yeah, good times. I remember that Golden Boy was one of the first animes that I watched, oh yeah and didn't he have that obsession with the toilet bowl because the girl had sat on it rofl. Or also there was that whole thing when he was racing the girl on his bike when she was on her motorcycle xD

FLCL was pretty funny for the few epiosdes I saw, but I didn't feel like losing all of my brain cells to finnish it xD

Yeah there are many people that loved it and many that hated it, as for me I wasn't too crazy about it either... Guess it's just one of those animes >.>

I would have to Say that FLCL and Excel Saga are a couple of the funniest anime (That I have seen and remember).

Yeah, FLCL being the surreal comedy that it is contains many random elements. Some of the funniest things I found while watching it was things that appeared in the background actions that take a little more close inspection to see (Eg. Takkun the cat waving) or viewing things that progressed very quickly a second or third time.

I think yakitate japan is absolutely the funniest anime. When they eat the food, they will be in another world which is sometime so funny and entertain. I think everybody should watch this anime.
