I will be playing with an emulator one is called Jnes which seems to be updated recently but doesn't run on my old PC which I use for some reason. Instead I use Nestopia this one works very solid so far.
Found some recommendations upon the top 100 NES games and went through the list I skipped most of the rpg games and all Mario related ones and that's what came out. The order is reverse so the "better" games in the opinon of those guys who did the list are the ones at the bottom. I list all those just in case one of you guys is planning to give some old games a go and save you some research time.

I'll check the SNES list now though I have played some games already which I liked. In no particular order listed. If you play with an emu I would suggest snes9x and zsnesw mostly the zsnesw is the better choise but some games run better in snes9x.
