I am playing a very old game right now called "shogo: Mobile Armor Division".
It's awesome, but I presume most of you know it, right?
For those that don't: it's a game where you can control a... Mecha :D
Oh and in case any linux users read this: yes, there is a native linux version, you can buy it from tuxgames, but it doesn't work anymore because it's 10 years old. So just play the windows version under wine, which runs fine.
