i started this topic since no one realli responded to the death note thread but i'll start first i think the sadest anime is hanayori dango its kind...

Name change...means someone needed to get kicked out of the loop, and they didn't want to pay royalties to the departed. Guess Japan struggles with greed killing the creative process too.

I had read that during the last part of Naruto, there was a disagreement between the producers of the show and the writers. That's why you see so many filler shows toward the end.

Dattebayo would make little comments at the beginning of his subs about the "strike" and that's what led to Shippuden being created.

Hunh, all the info about disagreements was removed. Now they've changed the story saying the fillers were done to give the manga writers time to finish. The old wiki article is gone. I read the filler episodes were due to a budget problem. Guess they squashed the rumor/story.

Unfortunately, reading about Shippuden caused me to catch spoilers. I'm trying to collect all of Naruto and One Piece right now, but the subbers I go to go pretty slow.

I just got through watching Naruto Shipp through Ep 82, and now I'm truly sad.

Oh not because character X got killed, no it's because now Naruto has officially jumped the shark.

The writing is making me weep, tons of filler episodes, glossing over Naruto, and then you introduce a deadmeat character arc to keep a pulse on the series.

I knew the guy was deadmeat when he started trying to pursue a relationship with that woman ninja he'd been ducking for years.

You can kill off one character (a major one at that) and tug at the heart strings of folks, good writing. But then you do it again (to a virtually insignificant character), and without any gusto...

I don't even know if I can watch the series anymore, please someone tell me it gets better?
