Obviously it's clear who won now.
For those who don't know the ending yet (either in the anime or manga), don't read what I'm about to write if you don't want it to be spoiled.
On the one hand I feel sorry that Light lost, but on the other hand, I think it's the best ending one could think of. One thing I didn't like about the anime ending was that it wasn't the same as the one in the manga. The anime made it kind of sad and too long. While in the manga you see Light begging for his life to Ryuku. In the final scene you see Misa and a lot of other people (in the future) praying for Kira's return.
I wanted to see that last scene in the anime. Also the conversation between Matsuda and the others a few months after Light's death wasn't included.
