SUB or DUB?

at first i can handle some english dubs of anime of bleach killed my "Dub tolerance" so i pefer Subs all the time. only dub anime i liked want Full metal alc...

In Japan there are way more anime airing then cartoons in the states I guess

It is just that Japans anime industry is quite big and if your voice actors suck you're show is going to get canceled. Thus they try to put a lot of effort in all parts of anime.

Well for them it's their job and Japanese standards are very high.
They do put more effort into it and actually have to become one with their role.
Dubbers don't have to go true that much effort so that makes the difference obvious

And the other problem is the number of voice actors is limited
You tend to watch different series and have the same dub voices

i would much rather have a sub vs a dub but i will still watch some dubs on occasion. it just bugs me when the words are completely different than the way the characters mouth moves.

Tell me somethin aren't most of u getting u're anime online?? If so isn't like almost all of the anime on line subbed, unless some 1 uploads a series that they bought on dvd that we already watched that was subbed.. If u buy the dvd or blueray u can watch it subbed or dubbed so does it really matter, u get the best of both worlds..:m-happy2:

I actually like both versions, I watch subs when I really want to pay attention and dubbed for when I'm doing something else at the same time.

it depends on how i start watching a series if i start it sub then sub if dub then dub. after a while you just kinda get use to how the characters sound in the respective language and it sounds weird to hear it any other way.

After watching all of the series Escaflowne subbed, I never want to see another subtitle again personally. What I would like though is better localization for dubs.

well it depends with who is dubbing, if in case of Full Metal Alchemist where the dubbers are great I would prefer Dub over Sub but if dubbing sucks then of course I would rather have it Subbed.

I vote for subbed.

For dubbed, it depends on how good the voice actor is for that particular character.
