SUB or DUB?

at first i can handle some english dubs of anime of bleach killed my "Dub tolerance" so i pefer Subs all the time. only dub anime i liked want Full metal alchemist and dragon ballz also cowboy bebop. what do you pefer?

It depends, the thing is.... There are fansub that utterly suck. Translation, Wording and grammar are the things I want from a fansub group. And not translation from babelfish or google language. That's why I usually stick with the fansub group I'm familiar with like Eclipses, Frostii, Shinsen-Subs, Bssubs to name a few.

Generally, Dub anime Suck. But there are some good dubs like on Desert Punk or Full Metal Panic. Bad ones are....Naruto, One Peace, Code Geass..and many more.

I generally go with subs, but depending on the company, I'd go with dubs too

I always prefer sub over dub, everything tends to match up a lot better. What I really prefer sub for is a closer feel for what the writers had intended but sometimes the subs mess that up just as bad as the dubs. (I don't speak japanese but I know enough to know when they butchered a line or completely changed the intended meaning.)

I prefer Japanese dub with English subtitles. I remember one time when I watched His and Her Circumstances in English dub. It sucked when they said, "Let's eat!!". But there are some good dub animes like Elfen Lied and Gundam Seed.

yeah that really ruins the mood, that's why I never watched dubbed version of anime series well except the very first zoids, I think the dub is A okay

i'll have dub's and sub's on at the same time just to see the differences. but overall i prefer to use sub's.

i go SUB all the way... if i download a dubbed version i search the whole internet and ask others if they got it original voice but with good subs then i get it....
Or perhaps trash it if its only dubbed and not subbed, or perhaps i watch it depending on how desperate iam for it...

I much prefer Sub than Dub because when they Dub anime they usually do a really bad job of it @ .@ like i watched an anime where this person died and your supposed to be crying but i just burst out laughing because the dubs were just done so badly! :astonished:

I can handle both but it is a little harder for kids to read the subs and look at the anime at the same time. It is sad that things are lost in translation. I have watched in dubbed with eng subs and they do not match. :onion255:

The cartoon industry in America is mostly made for children I guess.
If you would look at some Cartoons for children you would be surprised how bad the actual dubbing is.^^
But I guess there are a lot of good cartoon dubs out there.

Yeah but if you listen closely you often hear the same voices over and over even in japanese Versions.
But with the japanese voice actors, you just get the feeling they put more effort in their acting. They are popular just like real Actors.
Everywhere else you often don't even know the names of those doing the dubbing.

No the number of people speaking the language shouldn't influence that.
It is just that Japans anime industry is quite big and if your voice actors suck you're show is going to get canceled. Thus they try to put a lot of effort in all parts of anime.
