Hey everyone. Decided to play it smart instead of putting it in a random spot and going "omg thanks" for a 1st post.
Anyways, that aside, I've been into watching anime for quite sometime, I want to say early 90s with shows such as DBZ, Urusei Yatsura, Ranma, Macross and Gundam. There's probably more but I can't recall that much off the top of my head at the moment.
I'm actually open to any type of genre. Actually, "almost" any genre is what I really want to say. Ideally, I am more geared towards mecha genres or comedy genres. However, I have no problem with the usual generic harem, or moe-blobs or tsunderes or typical shounen plots or whatever. If it's entertaining then I have no problem watching it even if the show does turn out as a train-wreck in disguise, I'll continue watching as long as it still provides the entertainment and lulz.
When usually a new series comes out, I do give it a chance, at least maybe 2 episodes before I consider going with it or just dropping it.
I don't have any particular favorite anime. I like a lot of stuff but nothing that makes me for sure really say "it's the best" since that's all subjective to a person's tastes. I will say out of the summer lineup, the one I recently enjoyed was Bakemonogatari. The last episode, tv broadcast wise, really made an impression and I wish more shows could create that kind of impact on viewers instead of dragging things out or completely forgetting about it or cramming it at the last second.
Anyways, that's about it for now.
