Hello ftp-anime members and mods!! The notice tells me that I have to introduce myself. You'll have to pardon my introduction 'cause I'm a newbie at these things. Well, here goes....
Just call me by my username, opensurferweb. Where I live: I don't want to be to specific so let's just say the oriental part of the world....okay, okay in a country close to Japan. :D
Age: past the age of accountability :D
Favorite animes/mangas: Fist of the North Star by Tetsuo Hara and Buronson, Trigun by Yasuhiro Nightow, Grappler Baki by Keisuke Itagaki, War Angels by Jae-Hwan Kim, Kongou Bancho by Nakaba Suzuki, Elemental Gelade by Mayumi Azuma, etc. Well, I like a lot of anime/manga, but I like the kind that shows more skin and less drapes. (No, not the H kind although I do read it sometimes) What I mean by more skin I mean mangas/animes that show the muscles and contours/outlines of the human body like Grappler Baki or Fist of the North Star (these kind don't use drapes, capes, or baggy pants to defend themselves from rendering body outlines or contours. THAT'S TALENT). Although I do like mangas that use capes and drapes sometimes. :D
Inspirational H-artists: Kenji Kishizuka, Rio Yanagawa, Johji Manabe, Oda non, Hiroki Yagami, and Takuya Inoue. These guys/gals really know their human anatomy textbooks. If you're an aspiring artist and you don't have the money to hire a nude model or a manequin, these are the new best reference alternatives! :D
What I do: studying (its true)
Hobbies: playing on a Neo-Geo emulator (yeah I'm that poor)
I like to draw with a pencil (inks and pens are good but cost more than just buying pencil and paper) using the above artists and media as references. I'm wishing and working to become a decent artist as a sideline.
How I came to be here: Well, what better place to get art/anime references than a community dedicated to art, right?
Again, it's a pleasure to be here. Hope this wasn't too long of an intro:worried:
