i know this would sound more like a lame answer from me.... but have you already
READ ALL the top 5 animes thread.... i think they are there for a good reason (great animes with good stories)
i advise for you to read every one of the post and do a list of all the good ones... i did that (in another forum)... about like 4 years ago when i started ..... and yea it was sooooo boring (took me like 5 hours to rread more than 140 posts) but I ended up whit a list of (150-230 or more... can't remember exactly) animes... and then start searching one by one ... in aniDB , AnimeNewsNetwork and AnimeNFO ... (yeah this was another like 2 weeks)
but if you still what more... after investigating all the animes that are there... well i could put some of my.... but try to make first the list from that thread.... XD
at least that's my advice O.<
