Moretsu Pirates (why not just spit the face of real pirates. I mean they are basically actors hired by the insurance companies to play pirates. They really annoy me and I hate pretty much all the female characters. I can't believe I watched 10 episodes)
Blood -C (The animation was weird, all the male characters were long and spindly, not to mention pretty much the whole show was boring.)
Kimi to Boku (I thought it was similar to Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou. But it wasn't funny in the slightest. Not once watching 3 episodes did I ever feel like a joke was made or a situation was funny.)

I actually found this series to portray quite an interesting view of how pirates would evolve in the future. But that's just my opinion.

The very definition of a pirate is to act outside the law. These girls are legally pirating.... Which is an oxymoron. They treat the whole thing like they are on a school trip.
I can't respect the captain girl, she just has no presence for me. Maybe if she actually did some real pirating.
I actually thought this show would be really good. i thought they would be space pirates doing pirating and so I got excited for the show.

One Piece is good (except fillers which are awful) because they are against the navy, actually fighting and are commiting crimes. I know they are in different genre's, but pirates are pirates.

I'm not having a go at your preferences. Meri doesn't like Arakawa under the Bridge, which I love. People like what they like.

Shining Tears X Wind (the plot twist on the end of the series. WHY, oh dear god WHY?!)
Chcolate Underground (they actually managed to ruin such a great premise)
School Days (it tried to make the worst characters possible, and succeeded a little too well)
