Nah prolly people didn't like the change. I can understand that. Noone likes change even me not. But yeah FTP-Anime has to grow. Soon there will be a better more easy upgrade of the chatbox.

But give it a chance. Its a lot more active than the old chatbox.

Prolly I will put the old chat back but I don't make any promises. Since the chat isn't as good as the old one was.

Ill be frank Im not a fan of the IRC set up. I always preferred dealing with our own in the chatbox rather than with a bunch more a-holes with whom I have no association. I myself have effectively stopped using it, but im still on the forums...at least until it becomes an IRC based service too.

Haha, I hate sarcasm to tell you the truth. Its humor's ugly cousin, and if I absolutely see a chance where I must use it, I always try to make it lighthearted. (Hate offending people). I might however do something more the likes of walking on glass when it comes to you though Tom, cause you seem to understand. Hahaha. Cheers.

I dont see the sense in that, as a chat box serves one purpose, no matter what its like. Its the people who use the chat box that make it what it is. IRC was inferior to the regular chat box simply because the forum was talking to strangers who had their own agenda in place. Its the reason why the IRC chat box didnt take off. People simply felt like they were robbed of the classic FTP-Anime chatbox to which they grew considerably attached to. Change is usually good, but not in instances like this.

Oh and @ Tom: Remember sarcasm? hahaha. I was using it in that sentence to simply project my distaste with the IRC system. Thats all. XD

yeah i know it looks a little dead, but be patience, in vacation there are many more that participate.... hope the ones that left come back....

PS. some just went on strike cause the CHATBOX !!! they didn't like it... maybe i'm just imagining thinks XD O.o hope so ...

i just don't get, why still ppl around but just lurking and stop posting, like X he still kind of active in the private messages but he stop posting O.o and Mich like the same saw her connected a few days ago (maybe like a week or two), but they as many have just stop posting and just lurking.... don't ask me why O.o

don't think soo.... he just put the IRC ChatBox soo the forum ppl, get to know the IRC ppl.....
but somehow instead of a good welcome from the forum ppl, it ended in rejection.....

the forum will still the same, he just put the IRC chatbox.... and maybe get back to the old one... where just the forum ppl talked ...

is the chatbox the thing that comes up on the main forum page? i'll be glad to post in threads [i don't know if YOU guys will be glad tho] but you'll never see me an a chat room. i type with only two [index] fingers - much too slow for chat - altho that's not why - ppl end up meeting the wrong ppl in chat rooms.

i figure if you old-timers keep FTP-Anime going - more with join and maybe in 2024 we'l have 5 or maybe six [out of the leechers] that will be posting by then. JUST KIDDING!!! we must have 5 or 6 now!!!

us new-timers must keep ftpa going [with the old-timers], then we'll be the mid-timers ... or the old-new-timers ... or ... really confused. actually death, i'm an old-new-timer to you already ... don't forget it! because i probably will ... memory ... doesn't ... work !!!

actually it's probably the straw that broke the camel's [chatbox's] back. but i was glad you started it ... gave some folks who've been here awhile a chance to weigh in.
i think that ppl off for summer vacation might account for many away from their tvs & computers [like SubZero is going to be away]. i'm sure by winter [the BEST season of the year!] FTP-A will be full and bustling - just hold on and WE'LL be the old-timers!!

not sure about Mich, but many others say they won't post again. mad and standing on principle or maybe just making a point? don't know - it just is what it is. i appreciate folks like you, mish, staying and building on FTP-A for us newer members. i appreciated your other post on this thread as well. with you, Sub, Night, we, rj and others here - it'll grow again.

and we have some good posting newer members as well. i thot it would pick up more AFTER the school vacations tho. vacation = outside more in my mind. either way - i'm confident that FTP-A will pick back up and the poster-to-leecher ratio will once again reach 2%-98% [i think we're like .029% now ...]
i'm enjoying the posters we have now!!
