ok.. since i had some free time after frustration of my OS project..

and i give the idea to RJD of doing some new theme for the page

this is one i thought... I'm not a designer not an artist, not much imagination, but this is what i thought ...

note: its a large picture.... no kidding
i tried to put it smaller ... but the original is large XD

this theme looks a little more girlish, since the other theme is no gender and the other looks for guys (blue and sky blue)...

i jus try to keep the theme color not pink(the other color i though), since it don't go with the banner colors...

any comments, or critics are accepted

Just make a expandable banner first and I will take a look into the menu's :D

no I mean a banner that filles the complete screen horizontally

So if my screen is 22" i will repeat the banner till it filled my screen.

I like the theme. The font would stay standard. I you could make a banner that is expandable and repeatable I can implement it if ya like.

My First attempt at Photo-shop and Image Ready
I made this yesterday :)
didn't take me long once I read the tutorial and then tried doing it my self
still needs a little tweaking but I want to do that witht he added Ripple effect

I want to next add animated water ripples on the ground but just can't get it right
first i need to find out how to add the perfect animated ripple that i want it to look like and then I'll try to see if i can add the rain effect on top of the ripple effect
hopefully it should be done and then it'll look awesome

Lol XD my friend used to say "a tutorial is your best friend" "get started with a tutorial and you'll start making pictures way better than us" :P

I never took heed of it but then I found some time off and sat around looking for some application when I stumbled upon PS CS4 so I looked for some tutorials on making banners and I found the rain effect one so I read threw it and gave it a shot which turned out like the above pic i posted :happy:
So now i'm looking for some cool plugins and tutorials that can help me make a banner this time and not an image :P

for your banners...do you like only want them saying FTP-Anime or can there be a slogan with them O.o
and u want them non animated or animated is okay O.o

Nice idea, but that font is just way too weird..

like snoo, not to particualrly fond of the font. it's cool, but it's hard to read when you're going to be reading tons of these =/ you should ballance appearance with legibility, in my opinion. also, i think the leaves stand out a bit too much, especially the ones on the bottom of the post...

also, to whoever made the banner, i don't like the way it's ballanced. be more creative with the placement of the characters and font, if you know what i mean. just pusingthe renders to the corners and centering the font isn't very creative... the characters are barely noticeable, and the font seems like it's just there....it doesn't really blend...

Oh and yeah your banners are real nice
but the font thing yeah you could use a less twisty/swirly one
well at least for the "FTP" the "Anime" is cool

ok, i accept that... the font will stay the same, i just put that one, as a comment, not intending it to be the default font for that them....

about the banner, i still looking for technics to do more things in CS4, this is like my 3 try in it... but thanks for the ideas, i'll try those...

RJD: as for the theme, when i finishe (pullishing the images) i coudl send them to you, just tell me exactly wich ones, i had personalize a few CSS (that's what i think your using...)so until what i have done to those, to just made a copy of itn, and just replacing the images, is the easiest way to have the same shell but just different look...

i'll be working of those comments, when done i'll put the new version, and see for your judgment... XD
