Funny is that highly depends on the country you are in... i've heard that in Japan comedy or people who do comedy are not highly respected since laughing and making jokes is something like "lose your face" that is something considered "honorloss" the worst case to a true Japanese as far as I know any form of "disrespect" is an act of attack even if you were just joking... but Japan is not in the16th century anymore and all this might be history now... but older people might still think this way... like +400 years old LOL nah
