Shot in super HD Cinema quality So Yu Jin was the target of much of the show’s praise, being highly commended for her tough performance as a struggling single mother.
29 year-old single parent Su Jin (So Yu Jin) has a tough life, not only as she pursues her career as a TV shopping channel model, but also in the daily challenges she faces raising her 11-year-old daughter Su An. They regularly fall out with each other and have differing points of view. Su An yearns to meet her true father one day, but is careful to keep this deep-seated desire secret from her mother.
Su An’s school teacher, the young and handsome Min Ho (Jeong Seong-hwan) also has a secret yearning - he has fallen in love with Su Jin. He lives very close to the family and sees them almost every day, but when the opportunity presents itself for him to declare his feelings, Min Ho succeeds only in hurting Yu Jin with a brash, insensitive remark. Has this ruined his chances of getting close to Yu Jin? Will Yu Jin ever find a suitable man to help raise her young daughter? And will the determined young Su An get her wish and find her true father? The only way to find out is to watch this compelling one-off drama, The Rainy Day.
