Kicked Gametap to the curb/Good RPGs to buy

Okay, they pulled all the good free games. Greed and a poor business plan has cost gametap their future, but more importantly my ability to find cool free RPGs.

I was playing Deus Ex and Sacred Gold. I was even thinking of dl'ing Fallout.

So I'll wait until these three titles are sold for the low price of $5 apiece.

I've been out of gaming since 1996, so I need a list of new RPGs to pursue and play.

Feel free to comment on either Gametap's dick moves or any RPGs y'all particularly like, thanks in advance.

Nicely done, unfortunately sacred gold is the same price here as it is on steam.

GOG looks like a nice site..what's difference between it and Steam? This carries older games? I would recommend looking at Lufia, Chrono Trigger, FF3, and Breath of Fire if you are still looking for oldschool RPGs to play.

chrono cross to be sure, and also chrono trigger.
if you want to get old school stuff though, Emuparadise.org - N64, Playstation, Dreamcast, Snes, Genesis, Arcade, Nes, MAME... has a lot of cool stuff...
every gba game EVER!!! hahaha
anyway,they have n64 stuff and what not.
tell me if you find what you want, if not ill take a look around and see if i cant find a rom or iso of the game and the proper emulator

If you havent been into gaming since 96, i'm assuming you are a PC gamer. If thats the case, you can try MMOrpgs. I've heard great things about AION which is coming out relatively soon. Be warned though, not only will you have pay monthly fees, you might get addicted to a point where denial becomes standard. It took me 3 years to quit World of Warcraft just to show an example.
