Sorry guess I should elaborate.
In 3D you got height, length, and width. But a 3D object doesn't move, that's where the 4th dimension time comes in. You cannot move without time, everytime you change position time is involved.
prepare for long explanation
As an object is moving through time it gets altered by other objects moving in time. What an object is in the past, is not what it will be in the future.
Another problem is perspective. Depending on the plane of reference of an object(s) things look very different.
Night sees himself as depressed and feeling worthless at this time. In the future that changes, from a different perspective that changes.
I use the contexts yesterday, today, and tomorrow to explain these things.
Yesterday I was 400lbs, broke, and blind. Today I'm 275lbs, got a little cash, and decent vision. Tomorrow ???
One thing is certain for all mortal flesh, tomorrow we die. So while we move through today and tomorrow, let's live it up. That's why the cliche of "it's the journey, not the destination that's important" is so profound.
Finally, it's about perspective. From Night's viewpoint there's no point in going on, the journey seems futile. But he's being watched by others who see him from above, below, and all around. They see he's almost to a critical point in the journey, or there's an oasis around the bend, and they tell him to go on.
And that's why I'm telling him he's 3D, in 4D things are always changing, and nothing is certain.
